![]() This traditionally western-styled saloon in Durango, Colorado, was an awesome lunch stop on our long journey home from Mesa Verde National Park. The restaurant is set in The Historic Strater Hotel, built in 1887. It looks like very few things have changed since then. The waitresses look just like what I imagine a traditional saloon girl might. They serve food and drinks while the piano player keys a wild, western tune. We took some time to walk around the hotel and restaurant after we devoured our world famous “Diamond Burgers” with a local brew. There was plenty of history and memorabilia to admire as our burgers settled for our remaining drive home.
