I drove to Pokey’s Cafe the morning of the 2017 solar eclipse to have a bite for breakfast. I took a table as soon as the doors opened and ordered biscuits and gravy with a side of patty sausage. A tall glass of orange juice and a cup of bold coffee later, my work there was finished.
